July Catch Up

I'm just going to finish July with one big post! We've been so busy and on the go and I thought about skipping it and just starting back when we get back from Ohio, but we've done lots of fun stuff that they were so excited about that I will share:

Gracie has done Princess Ballerina Camp with the lovely Miss Tara : )

She also loved Decatur High's Cheer Camp! She came home teaching me all kinds of cheers for us to do and loved her dances to Justin Beiber's Baby and Ice Cream and Cake. She won a DHS shirt for winning games and finished up the camp with poms and cookies!

We've had a play date at the splash pad with Abby and Hudson

And a Lake Guntersville trip for fishing and hiking with Daddy

Mallary: "oo catch a goldfeesh, da dee?"

We finished up swim lessons

And we're still working on potty training (under her winter coat is the potty seat she is wearing around her waist dancing around...the toilet paper is all off the roll and on the floor, but at least she said she needed to go potty, right?!?!
And last but definitely not least:

We will be welcoming a new niece due December 7th! We're so excited for another girl!

Ok that pretty much wraps us the July highlights...we'll be back in August with a wrap up of our trip to Grammy and JJs, 1st days of school and Mallary's 1st day of balway (ballet)...she's counting down the days and asks everyday if she goes to balway.

The 4th of July

We had no special plans this year and decided the girls were big enough to brave the fireworks at Point Mallard. We stayed at the back of the park away from the huge crowd for quick in and out! Our plan worked great and we will do this again! We got there around 8:30 and had lots of play time before the fireworks began. The girls loved them and cheered for everyone that went off. It was so much fun.

The Kiddie Carnival

We L.O.V.E the Athens Kiddie Carnival!!! This year our 4th of July weekend was slightly cooler than usual so we headed out on great night for lots of fun. This year Mallary could ride everything and was so excited. They had the best time. Of course it wouldn't be a carnival without cotton candy and funnel cake too!

Blueberry Farm.

We love to go and pick our own fruit. Read this. It describes us perfectly - ha! This time we headed out a little later in the season than usual...We had a really hard time finding enough ripe berries to fill half of our bucket after scouring the entire field. Not the farms best year for sure, however the ones we scored were delish! Daddy went with us again this year so that was more fun too!

Nothing beats twirling in an open field

Picking yummy berries

She worked hard : )

VBS and Point Mallard Family Night

This was Gracie's 1st year to attend our church's VBS. I have helped the past several years and was so glad Gracie got to join in the fun! I was a group leader to 22 lively 2nd graders. They definintely kept me on my toes and were lots of fun! It was a space theme 'Galactic Blast' and they got to rotate through recreation, bible study, snack, craft, science and music! I didn't get many pictures of Gracie this week b/c I was busy, but she loved it. Wednesday night, we wrap up with a family picnic at Point Mallard and our church rents the park for the night! So much fun. This year Gracie and Alan went down the big slide together! Mallary is always content in the swings. If I would push her in the water swings for the entire time we are at Point Mallard, she'd be in heaven!
