One Month Old

I can't believe sweet little Mallary is already a month old today. We're finishing up our last few newborn diapers and already outgrowing some newborn sized clothes. She is becoming much more alert and awake all the time. Her hair still sticks up most of the time and she continues to be such a sweet, sweet baby.

Busy and Fun Weekend!

Gracie returned to me on Friday. She rode home from Bham with her friends Mary Mac and Libby and had fun. I missed her so much! We started off Saturday morning early for Towns' 3rd Birthday Party at the park. It was a cute Easter theme with an egg hunt and park play time. When we got home Alison was here to visit us and meet Mallary. We went out to lunch and had a fun visit.

That afternoon, we met Mary Mac and Libby at their Decatur church for an Easter Party and yet another Egg Hunt. It was so much fun and Gracie did really well finding Eggs.

We came home and dyed our Easter Eggs for the Easter Bunny.

Easter post coming later!

It's so quiet

I'm almost lonely. Notice I said ALMOST. Gracie is off to MeMe's for a couple of days and Mallary is getting to enjoy being an only child for a couple of days! I'm going to spoil Mallary, catch up on some laundry, Junior League work, and help the Easter Bunny get baskets ready.

We have a Birthday party and lots of Easter fun planned so new pictures next week.

What a Week

We've been having lots of fun this week! We are most certainly enjoying the nice weather we are having and hoping for no more cold! Gracie has been enjoying having a "picnic" lunch outside on her table. Her new favorite game is Hopscotch. She picked up something in the house the other night and threw it down and said hop, hop I'm playing hopscotch. We're not sure where she learned it, but we're having fun playing!

She needed her ears b/c she was hopping like a bunny
(Also she's dirty from her lunch which included a chocolate cookie that melted in the sun)

On Tuesday, Mallary turned 2 weeks old and had her check up. Her weight was up to 7lbs. 12 oz. She is now eating every 4 hours and becoming more alert and reacting to us. It's funny to think that she wasn't even supposed to be here until yesterday and she's still not reached her due date. I'm glad she's here already!!!

Enjoying some fresh air while DaDa grills our dinner

Yes, the hair sticks straight up 24/7! It's so funny!
Gracie's was a little longer so it would lay down

Today was Gracie's Easter Party and Egg hunt at school since next week is spring break. She had a fun time finding the eggs - and finding out they held treats inside!!!

Grammy, Grampy and Aunt Mary Beth will be here this weekend from Ohio! We can't wait to see them and have Grammy staying with us for 2 weeks. MeMe, Chief and Aunt Elaine are also coming up to visit so we'll have a houseful this weekend.

The Easter Bunny

The Easter Bunny arrived at our mall this weekend. I was so excited to be able to take both girls to see him and have their picture made. Gracie has told us numerous times that the Easter Bunny is going to bring her chocolate eggs so I just knew she'd love him. I got them both dressed - Gracie in her new Easter dress and Mallary in her pink smocked one and we headed off to the mall. Well, we walk in the door and Gracie starts going "I'm scared" and Alan and I are like of a Bunny??? We get closer to him and she starts throwing a fit. She absolutely refuses to go near him. I'm thinking to myself - you'll sit in Santa's lap, but not a bunny who doesn't talk and looks like your toys???? We put Mallary up in the bunny's arms and Gracie still refuses to have any part of it. We tried all the bribes, a cookie and sprite from the Cookie Co, a ride on the Merry Go Round, Drive the little cars, all 3 of them if she would just cooperate for 1 little picture to make Mommy happy, but No. So anyways, little Mallary is the only one in our Easter Bunny picture this year.

So Far So Good

Mallary is now 1 week old! She went for her 1 week Dr. check and her weight was back up to 7lbs 2oz. She's eating well and sleeping really great at night (good for me!) She HATES her bath, but loves having her hair washed - and what girl doesn't? That's my favorite part of getting my hair done. Gracie has adjusted well and loves her sister.
