Mallary is here!!!!!

She didn't want to wait to join us and arrived 3 weeks early from her due date on February 26th at 7:50 am. She is too precious and we are enjoying her so much!!!!!

Birthday and Bubble Bath!

What a fun day! We celebrated our cousin Ashton's 1st Birthday at his house. He was so cute. I wanted him to smash the cake up, but he didn't! Gracie got to play with cousin Jana and all her toys.







Gracie also had fun in her bubble bath tonight making bubble beards! She has a bubble bath every night, but for some reason, tonight's was more fun than usual!





Also, we are inching ever so close to Mallary's due date. Wednesday will start the weekly appointments and checks. As my Dr. says, it is somewhat anti-climatic since we do a have a date scheduled for our C-section. Nevertheless, something could always change so we will post any exciting updates! I'm still fearful I will go into labor in the middle of the night and have to call my mom up here at 3:00 am to get Gracie!

After several attempts of mommy asking me to stand still, smile and hold my picture up, she got this and gave up! Ha Ha!

Valentine's Party

Gracie had her Valentine's Party at school yesterday. She didn't want to eat her special snack, she wanted to play! She also would not wear her bow yesterday at school and eventually lost a shoe! She got lots of special Valentine's from her friends and teachers and gave everyone at school one too!

Just Because

We played outside for several hours this morning enjoying the nice weather we're having here.

Where's My.....

Just a funny story....This morning Gracie and I were getting ready for music class and I had her up on her changing table naked for a diaper change and to get dressed for the day. She was looking in the mirror at herself and checking out her back as well. All of the sudden she turns to me and says, "Hey, Where did my tail go?" I busted out laughing. We were in such a hurry and I just had to stop and laugh for a minute.

I did explain that she doesn't have a tail and we went through animals that do have them.

On a positive note, we are making some potty training progress. We've had 2 afternoons of pee pee's in the potty for a treat!

For Super Tuesday

Alabama residents - go vote today. Gracie and I will be heading up there soon before the rain starts - again. And in honor of voting day I added a poll to the left of our page so you can vote for fun if you don't actually go and vote!

I'm getting anxious for Mallary to arrive so I started digging through Gracie's birth pics to remember exactly what she looked like. Well for anyone that doesn't know - Alan and I were both very blonde and had little hair when we were born. Gracie was born with the darkest head of hair we'd ever seen. It was truly shocking when they showed her to me. Then when they gave her her bath they did her hair up not how I would have styled it, but she looked like a little Asian baby.

I'm putting a few pics of Gracie's birthday up so you can see/remember what she looked like. It still makes me laugh when I think of her and all that hair!

Oh No!

Gracie got a boo boo! Saturday night she fell out of her bed. I went in to get her back and bed and she was really crying and then I realized she busted her chin open : ( But before Alan could get in there with the washcloth and band aid, she was already back asleep! I asked her the next morning where her boo boo was and she goes where? She didn't even remember doing it. Alan put on a new band aid the next morning and she said I feel all better and she loves wearing Elmo and friends on her chin and wants to show the mirror to make sure they are still there. I felt terrible of course. I'm happy to report she did not have a repeat performance last night.




Now on to the Super Bowl... When I don't care about the teams (or the sport for that matter) I try to cheer for the underdogs so I was glad that the Giants won. I really only watch for the commercials, but I thought the commercials were terrible for the most part. I thought the Fed Ex with the pigeons was kinda funny and the one with the lizards dancing to Thriller (this one is for the ADPi's out there that know why...) Alan made us super delish (as Gracie says) fajitas for dinner so I'm really putting that as the highlight of the game for me! If I missed a good commercial post a comment so I can go back to myspace and watch it. They have them all.

A date night and a few more shower pics

Believe it or not, but Alan and I got a date night! Woo Hoo! MeMe came up to stay the weekend with us and she kept Gracie for us so we could go to dinner. We tried a new Italian restaurant in town and enjoyed our dinner/night out. Saturday, Mom and I went shopping around Hartselle to some antique stores and had lunch at Big Bob's. We also got some work done on Mallary's room. I'll post some pics of the nursery once I get all the clothes put up.
