Softball Starts!

We love this time of year!!  This is Gracie's 3rd year of softball and she is once again a Blaster - only with a new head coach - Alan!!!  They were short some coaches so he graciously volunteered to step up.  We have a great team and are looking forward to a fun season.  Here are a couple of shots from our 1st practice.

Happy 4th Birthday Mallary!

Oh my sweet Baby Girl - it's so hard to believe you are 4 years old.  You are definitely still my baby, but getting to be so big too.  I love your sweet personality.  You are so funny.  You are different from your big sister for sure.  You are more a creature of habit and like your routines. 

You are going to school 4 days a week and love our Mommy/Whooiee Day as you call it on the day you don't go to school.  You say you are my little buddy and want to do errands!  You are learning so much and your little speech impediments are disappearing.  "L's" are now "L's" and no w sound.  I really kind of miss them, but glad you are learning on your own.  You know all your ABC's, can count, memorize all kinds of things from class like the pledge, the months, special songs, bible verses. 

Your favorite foods are gogurts, waffles/pancakes for breakfast, Macaroni and Cheese, and chicken nuggets.  You would only drink milk for every single drink of the day if I didn't make you have at least 1 drink of something else.

You are so easy to go to bed.  Usually around 7:30 you have your bath, get in bed and turn on Scooby and are out like a light.  You are usually the 1st awake too - about 7:00 each morning. 

Scooby Doo remains your favorite cartoon/show/etc.  We have DVDs of everything Scooby and you will watch them over and over!  You also like your Bitty Baby Doll and books.  You like to go to the library and get books.  Dress up is also one of your favorite things to do. 

You take the ballet/tap combo class this year and seem to really like it.  You also get to go to choir with Mrs. Suzanne on Wednesday nights at church.  Your favorite colors are pink, purple and red.  You love dresses and anything pink.  I still don't have trouble dressing you and you pretty much like anything I pick out for you.

You are the most loving child.  You could snuggle with us all day long if we let you.  You give us huggies and kissys all the time.  You make us so happy and make us laugh all the time.  You are so special to us and we couldn't imagine our lives without you.  You are such a precious little girl and we love you more than you will ever ever know!

Mallary School Celebration

For your birthday at school, we decided to have chocolate covered sprinkle donuts.  I brought your special snack in and they were a HIT!  I loved watching you and your sweet little friends having a fun time with the messy treat : ) 

 

Fancy Nancy Tea Party

The girls love Fancy Nancy and when I heard they were have a little Fancy Nancy Tea Party at the library, well I had to plan a little outing after dance for that night.  I told them to pick out something fancy - Gracie picked out a pretty dress and Mallary picked her fancy fairy costume.  We got to decorate cookies and have fancy punch, take our picture, hear a story, get fancy nancy color sheets and crayons and pretend the paparazzi were taking pictures.  It was a cute little program and the girls had a blast!

Mallary's Birthday Party

This year we celebrated Mallary's birthday at our dance studio.  We had lots of little ballerina friends join us for a dance lesson with Miss Alicia.  They all seemed to love it.  It was so much fun.

Carnegie Carnival Parades

This year Junior League participated in Carnegie's 1st Mardi Gras in Decatur and what a super fun day it was!  Early in the day was the children's parade so the girls and I rode in on our float with friends.  They had fun tossing beads and waving to the fans (our #1 fan was daddy who had the camera!)  After that we got to make mardi gras masks and have yummy lunch at Simp McGhee's 

The big parade was at night and we had a wedding party for their sweet Miss Erin so we just watched.  We had so much fun getting beads and other prizes and watching all the floats!  We definitely can't wait until next years!

Mallary's Valentine Party

Ice Skating Valentine's Party

Gracie's class took their monthly field trip to the Ice Skating Rink on Valentine's Day this year!!  This mama was a little sad she couldn't get out there with her, but after a few minutes I realized she was doing so well that I didn't need to be out there.  They gave them "walkers" to use.  I could tell she was getting brave at the end and I would catch her skating away from her bar.  I was proud of her for staying out there almost the full 2 hours they were allowed to skate.  Afterwards they had a yummy lunch together with cupcakes before time to go.  She told me when she was leaving that she wanted to take lessons!  She must have really loved it.

The Daddy Express

I really wanted to document what we do on an actual trip to Lowe's.  We love going with Alan {especially if it's for stuff we are interested in - home updates, garden, etc.}  The girls especially love when we need lots of stuff that requires the cart instead of a regular buggy.  We have termed these carts as the Daddy Express.  I think it's hilarious. 

Dance Friends Valentine's Party

The girls have their group of "dance friends" that they have been dancing with for several years now.  They occasionally get together outside of dance to have a chance just to play.  This time they got an extra special treat - a Valentine's Party at Chuck E. Cheese.  They were all sorts of excited for this night!
