It seems so hard to believe that a year ago, you had surprised us with your early arrival. You knew how much you were loved and I guess just wanted to go ahead and join. The past year has gone by so fast. It's amazing to watch you change and learn and have your "Ah Ha" moments when you figure things out. You cruise around and climb up on everything. You babble just a little here and there and say Da Da. You love to love us. I say Love Mommy and you give me the biggest hug with pats on my back. You love to give slobbery kisses. You really love mommy and are very attached lately. This has become even more evident in the past few weeks. I can't be out of your sight for very long or you come looking for me.
You love to play in Gracie's room and sit on her bed. You love your push and ride on toys the best besides baby who you really love. You don't have any special blankies or toys that you must have with you at all times - just your thumb. You love to suck your thumb. You also love hats to play with and put on your head. You think this is just about the funniest thing there is. However, if it's cold and I try to make you wear one - -you will have none of that.
We are done with formula - Yahoo!!! You kind of gave it up in the past few weeks and you have mastered the sippy cup. The bottles will go into the attic today along with a few more baby things you have given up in the past couple of weeks. You are definitley turning into a big girl.
You are a good eater. You like most of what we give you and you really love sugar free Tropical punch Kool Aid and lots of milk to drink. You don't care for juice at all (probably b/c I really water it down). You love green beans, chicken nuggets, fruit, french fries and crackers.
We have an exciting weekend planned for you to celebrate you and your special first birthday. We are so blessed by you and love you so very much. Your big toothy smile with your six little teeth just melts my heart. Mallary, we couldn't imagine life without you and you bring us so much joy and happiness. We always hope for the best for you in your sweet little life.
Love,
Mommy and Daddy

Our Valentine's Day
This artwork collection surrounded us while we ate.We were lucky enough to have the artist herself join us!
This was Mallary's 1st Valentine's Day

Last but not least, my Valentine's Presents
Gracie picked out the most beautiful bouquet of flowers.According to her daddy, she insisted I must have these!
I never knew how much I would love fluorescent green
daisies until she presented me with them.
I also now have the most beautiful box to put in my bedroom!

Busy
*sigh* Sorry for the lacking of posting...I've been busy. Really busy. This should make up for it.
The past 2 weeks - what have we been doing you ask? Lots! There also doesn't appear to be a break for us for the next few weeks.
Gracie started Gymnastics on Wednesday afternoons and loves it. She continues on with dance but we needed another activity to burn off this endless energy!

I am working night and day with JLMC on our fundraiser. Read about it here.
Mom came up and spent the night. We went to a Betty Sims cooking class. We will be going back in March b/c it was so much fun. Betty is a hoot and kept us thoroughly entertained and we left very full with a packet full of delicious recipes to try.
We took full advantage of last weekends 70's and played outside as much as possible.
Mallary has another ear infection. Our Dr. told us that at our follow up appointment we will most likely be discussing tubes and going to an ENT. I just want her better so I am fine with this.
Gracie's Valentine's Party was today. The children were adorable in chef's hats and aprons and decorated cookies. (or should I say they had fun pouring jars of sprinkles out).

We've made several Valentine's treats. Some for church, Some for School, Some for Da Da's work.

Chocolatte
Since Gracie could eat and drink on her own, her favorite drink has always been chocolate milk, known as chocolatte's in our house. She named it that herself as soon as she could talk. Today, while I was putting up laundry, Gracie decided she was going to make her own chocolatte by herself. Here's what I found...
Another funny, the other day Mallary dumped out a bunch of Cheerios on the floor and I said oh no, Mallary, you made a big mess. Gracie yells - quick get the camera and take a picture of it....
