Pandamania

Our friends Faith and Ms. Nancy invited Gracie and Lauren to go to their church's VBS - Pandamania!!  Gracie was so excited - one b/c it was at night and b/c she would be with her friends.  She loved it and all the fun things they did.  She especially loved the "change" competitions b/t the boys and girls.  She ran around everyday collecting her coins to put in the bucket.  They did fabulous crafts and made tie dye tshirts.  She had a bible verse to memorize every night to earn points for the girl's team.  It was a great week and on the 6th night they had a big performance of all the songs they learned during the week.

Mallary's Funnies

I haven't done the best job at recording all of Mallary's funny things, but here are a few from the past couple of weeks.

Mallary making a sad face when she doesn't get her way looks at us and says "Do I look (wook) happy?"

We were eating breakfast at Jack's and Alan got the Deluxe Breakfast that he was eating with a fork.  He got a hashbrown round with the fork and Mallary's yell's "Why you fork that hashbrown up?"  However, she can't pronounce her "r's" very well and the word came out more like another F word with 4 letters.  Hilarious.

If she gets mad she yells "I quit".   She never tells us what she quits, but it's funny

She loves to give hugs...and always says "Huggy"  How can you resist that?  We give lots of huggy's everyday.

8-25-11 Today Mallary says to me..."When you grow up to be a boy, we can get married" and Gracie chimes in with a when you and Daddy get divorced I can marry him.

DHS Cheer Camp

Both girls were lucky enough to get to participate in Cheer Camp this year.  We've been doing lots of stomping and shaking around here.  They got to go cheer and dance with the Varsity Cheerleaders at the high school.  They cheer, dance, tumble, play games and have the best time.  Mallary was excited to go, but I think 3 hours of it did her in everyday.  On the last day, they have performance time where they get to show us different cheers and dances.

Ice Cream Cones

Whenever Mallary gets an ice cream cone after a few licks, she insists she wants the cone (still full of ice cream) usually before I can stop her she takes a big bite out of the bottom.  Here are some funny pics of her trying to eat it bottoms first!

1st Dentist Trip

Mallary had her 1st trip to the dentist to our friend Dr. Alicia.  She was so excited and loved going.  She has some bad back teeth (not cavities, some issues from her ear trouble as a baby) so we're going to a specialist, but all in all a good trip!

Kiddie Carnival

We had to make our annual trip to the Athens Kiddie Carnival.  This year, we got Aunt Elaine, Andrew and Ava to go with us.  Needless to say, I think they will make it up here every year to go with us.  The kids all had a fun time and were so good to take turns riding with each other.  They had lots of yummy snacks and rode all the rides.   Ava slept through most of the night, but we woke her up at the end of the night to play.

The Real Fireworks

After a day of BBQ, backyard fireworks, and a nap for Mallary it was time to head over to Point Mallard for the big fireworks show.  We took our sparklers and played to help occupy our time waiting for the show.

Fireworks on the 4th

Alan took the girls to the Fireworks store on the 4th.  The loaded up with lots sparklers, smoke bombs, bottle rockets and other little goodies.  They went to check out and the total was $5 so Alan went back and got 2 of everything - ha!  They had so much fun playing with all the little things in the yard.  Gracie even got to light one or 2.

The 4th of July @ The Calame's

We had a great LONG weekend.  Alan even took off the 5th so that he could make it a truly long weekend with only 1 vacation day.  On the 4th, our friends, The Calames, included us in their annual 4th of July party.  The girls had tons of fun playing with Lauren and friends.  We all enjoyed yummy BBQ with tons of great sides.
