You are a mess. Today was an exceptional day for the things coming out of your mouth...
This morning we were going through all your new fall clothes since it was cool enough today for them. The 1st outfit I held up - you told me no, it was too "hippie-ish" It was pink leggings and a top. I'm not sure where that came from.
Then after I picked you up at school some crazy lady was driving like an idiot and I said she was being a fool. You then yelled from the backseat - you mean like that old fool Joe Pa. I said Joe Pa and you yelled yes that scary coach with the big nose. Apparently you and daddy watched ESPN gameday the other morning together - ha ha ha!
Then later you insisted you must go outside to pray. You said "God can't hear me if I am inside"

Oh Mallary
Lately Mallary has been taking her clothes and diaper off any chance I am not looking. We're not really into fall weather and her only overalls to prevent this are a speck warm for the weather. Tuesday morning I found her completely naked in her bed and at some point during the night she had completely stripped down to sleep.
Again, last night I went to check on her and found her naked again - this time she left her diaper on - guess she learned her lesson.
Here's what I found:

Today she her school report said "she would not listen today". Uh-Oh. I don't know why but when my little ones get little reports like that - I kinda have to giggle...oh really, the 18 month old didn't want to listen today. Ok...

Gracie and Daddy's Date
Daddy and Gracie had a great date to see Elmo's Green Thumb the other night. Gracie had a fabulous time and enjoyed all the dancing and singing. Alan's favorite moment of the night was Gracie asking if they were really the friends from sesame street or just people dressed up and he asked her what she thought and she said - the real ones were here!
She came home to tell me all about the popcorn, sprite and m&ms and of course the giant Elmo balloon!
I'm glad they had such a great night!

1st Day of School (Updated)
Yes, I am behind as the 1st day of school was August 19th! However, Mallary was sick and didn't make it until the 24th and well this is the first morning I haven't spent running errands, etc.
Both girls love their classes. Mallary is still a little unsure of pick up and drop off but the teachers say she plays and never cries. She goes 2 mornings a week. She is always so proud of her pictures she brings home. She started back to music class last week and loved it.

Gracie is having a great year so far. She goes 4 mornings a week. Monday was her special day and she got to tell the class all about herself. She had changed her favorite color to green and her future occupations to a zookeeper for the class so we will see. She was excited yesterday to show me her "ticket" (certificate) that she got b/c she knew the August/September bible verse and could say it all by herself. She is also taking acrobatics and ballet and tap. Keeping her busy has been great for bedtime!

Blast from the Past

Ha Ha Ha. Just thought I would give everyone a little giggle this morning. Alan's brother William snagged this from their mom's house and scanned it. This is Alan and I at Hoover High Prom 1996. He's a Sr. and I am a Jr. Only 13 years ago....
P.S. My shoes are dyed to match the exact shade of red that my dress was! Ha Ha Ha!
