How we finished the weekend

well if you know me - you know that this past weekend was JLMC's American Girl Fashion Show and if you know me well you know that I have put my heart and soul into this fundraiser to make it as successful as possible. It has worn me out but I truly believe it was such a sucessful and grand event. Everything was beautiful and went off with NO problems!!! I loved seeing all the happy faces arriving and loved hearing how much everyone enjoyed the event. I will share pics and details of things later....

Since I spent alot of time away from the girls this weekend we finished off the weekend doing this:

Yep, that's right - it's a slip and slide!

Gracie didn't really get how to run and dive yet,
so when all else fails - Daddy just throws you down the slide!
(disclaimer: no children were hurt during this process)

this baby had fun
Can't you tell???

What a Day!

Wow - A Super Fun, Action Packed Day in Birmingham!

Mallary napping on the way to Bham.
Her hair is getting long and hangs in her eyes
so I am able to pull it back now and
when I peeked back at her I thought she looked funny!!

We started out early and celebrated sweet little Tyler's 4th birthday and little brother Sam's 1st! Rob and Les always throw a great Birthday party and we were so excited to play and party with them! We bounced, played with toys, had hot dogs and cake and busted a pinata! Thank You Friends!

Tyler, Major and Austin

Can I play with the big kids??
(I just love bloomers on babies and their little legs!)
She finally gets in!

Cousins - we were never quick enough to get all 4 girls together!
Karoline, Katelyn and Mal

Sweet Sisters

Ahhh, I just love them.

And now, she does it all by herself!

Next we headed over to Meme's for a rest and it turned into more fun. We played hide and seek (Gracie also got her favorite spot today - the clothes basket in the laundry room) and we took a walk to feed the swans. Lucky for us MeMe had some bread today and there were some hungry swans and fish.

Then we headed over to Vestavia to watch our nephew Hayes play an awesome game of baseball. We got to watch some of his great pitching, a couple of good hits and he even scored a run! Great game Buddy! We were so proud of you!! Harrison and Nana played with the girls and Gracie had about 4 ring pops from the concession stand. We have decided Harrison should come stay with us this summer some and play with us as she is such a great helper and the girls love her!

Hayes on the mound - he got several strikeouts!!

Good Game!!

Alan is never satisfied with coming to Bham without a stop at Milo's for some cheeseburgers, fries and Sweet Tea. So we got our fill of that on the way home.

Can you believe after all that excitement - neither girl fell asleep on the way home?!?!?! That was a 1st and I could hardly hold my eyes open. Good Night....

Gracie Funnies

I've been bad about writing her funny sayings down lately so I needed to blog a few that have cracked me up.

A few weeks ago I was in Mandy's wedding and mom was keeping the girls. Well that Friday night Gracie was upstairs at mom's and had taken her clothes off and put on some bloomies (our name the little white panties with eyelet trim to cover diapers and panties - usually with a monogram or name). Mom said who's bloomies do you have on (meaning hers or Mallary's) and Gracie said I don't know they are mystery panties. Mom said mystery panties? and Gracie said Yea, they don't have a name on them!

Gracie was eating Easter candy the other night and took a bite of a Hershey Kiss. She quickly spit the whole thing out and yelled Gross. I said what's wrong with it - Gracie said throw it out it's raw. I said Raw? and then it dawned on me - they were filled with runny caramel that Gracie thought was "raw candy"

Easter -

What a week of Easter Fun. Last weekend was our church egg hunt (post below) and then this week Gracie had her Easter Party and Egg Hunt at school, we dyed eggs on Friday (and then braved the hail and tornadoes in our area) and Sunday we celebrated Easter by attending church and having MeMe and Chief come up for Easter Lunch and more easter egg hunts.

Pretty Colors!

Lastly, here is some of the hail that was in our yard after Friday's storms. Luckily we don't seem to have any damage, but these are golf ball sized and I am so lucky they didn't hit my car!!!!

Easter Egg Hunt

Sunday afternoon we participated in our church Easter Egg Hunt. The rain held out for the children to play in the tree house, find lots of eggs and enjoy lots of easter treats. Our church is having Easter Services at 8:30 and 10:30 on Sunday if you are looking for someplace to attend.

Group pic with the Easter Bunny!
Who Gracie also gave a big hug - very shocking!

several of my pics are in a

The Easter Bunny

Some More Weekend Fun

In the midst of all Mandy's wedding activities, we were staying in Bham with mom and dad and had lots of fun. Thursday night MeMe and Gracie made funfetti cookies.

On Saturday, mom treated us to a pedicure. Well Gracie came along and was having so much fun and was so good that mom let her get a little manicure too!! She told the manicurist her favorite colors were pink and purple so they painted them hot pink and dark purple. Gracie was oh so careful with her nails and loved it. I'm thinking she needs a trip to sweet and sassy next time we are home!
