Another early morning - we arrived at the park only this time we got a surprise while we were waiting for the opening show. 2 Cast Members pulled us out of the crowd and said How would you like to be the official greeter family for the day - you just have to wave to everyone as they come in with Mickey Hands. Of course we thought that was great and enthusiastically waved to all who were coming in for about 5 minutes! They let us in the park early took lots of pictures and had pictures and certificate for us at the end of the day when we were leaving, free stroller for the day - what fun!
After all that fun, we jumped in the short line to meet Pluto and then we headed back to Fantasyland for Peter Pan's Flight, Dumbo, and the Carousel. We rode those and moved over to the Castle for the Dream along with Mickey stage show and the mid day mini parade/dance party which we loved!! The characters were dancing in the street and we loved that. It was very interactive which was great.
It was then time for our lunch at Chrystal Palace with the Winnie the Pooh Characters. It was so yummy and so cute!! Mallary especially loved all the characters and poor Tigger. When they had a little character parade around the dining room she really chased him and his tail! Ha Ha!
Tomorrowland was next on the agenda we conquered it through the afternoon. We did not ride Space Mountain and I would highly recommed that you skip Stitch's Great Escape - by far the worst attraction in the whole park. It was hot when we were there and the lines were much longer for attractions so I didn't get my camera out much.
We did some souvenir shopping and the girls were pretty tame and each picked out a stuffed animal - Gracie got Stitch from Lilo and Stitch and Mallary picked out a Minnie Mouse dressed like Tinkerbelle.
We went back and told the girls that they could pick their favorite ride and we would go do it again. They picked Magic Carpets of Aladdin and had fun riding again!
This is the point in the day where it was about 6:30 when we started heading out of Frontierland into the castle area and we are shocked to realize that 1) people were already lined up (in multiple rows) for an 8:00 electrical parade. You could hardly move down the street 2) They are serious about this and it just kept getting more and more crowded and people were packing in. It was a long 2 hours (yes - it was about 8:15 before the parade got down that far. But it was so cute and we loved it.
We attempted to get out the park after the parade before the mass exodus after the fireworks and it was insanely crazy. It took us almost 30 minutes to get down Main Street. Somehow Mallary fell asleep through all this and then was so out of it when I had to turn the stroller in that I had to carry her and hold her in the bus stop line to get the shuttle back to the hotel. However, on the ride back to the resort, Gracie had a perfect view of the fireworks so I considered it a Win-Win situation!
It was a fabulous 4 days in Disney World and we enjoyed our vacation so much and so thankful for my mom for taking us on such a special trip! I know the girls will remember it forever!!
