The day she's been waiting for....

Mallary had her 1st night of ballet. She has dreamed of this day for as long as I can remember. This child wears her sister's leotard, dance shoes, costumes as frequently as possible and does "balway" around the house. Her night was here...we've talked about it all summer. She has begged all summer to go to the Princess camps around town and sadly she would have to be 3 to attend them. All summer I heard "my a big girl" "my go to camp too" "PWEASE MOMMY" It broke my heart, but I knew her time would be here soon enough and I kept telling her in August, I promise. She got dressed well before time to go and ran to the car. The mommy's stayed for the first class and even participated. I think she would have been more than fine for me to be gone, but the other mom's stayed so I got the evil eye from her when I tried to go back to the waiting room.

All dressed and ready to go!

Who's Excited????

All the little dancers

Showing us her moves

Dancing with "wings"

and riding a pony

A lollipop and 2 stickers
this has sealed the deal we will be back next week!

Lunch Date with Friends

We had a yummy lunch date planned with some friends before going back to school. We tried to snap a couple of shots of the cuties, but you can imagine how hard that was with 6 kids. But we can't wait to do it again.

I was only going to post 1 group shot, but as I got looking at them I started laughing so hard at how many attempts it took that I decided to share more.

Finally - a good shot!

Kiddie Carnival Again!

We got another trip to the Kiddie Carnival in this summer and this time it was to celebrate our sweet friends 5th Birthdays! The girls were so excited to be able to ride any ride with NO ticket and NO lines and all their friends on the rides! They couldn't believe it! It was a fun night.

How cute is their cake? Each child had their own Ferris Wheel.

Haircut

I finally cut Mallary's hair. I know she's almost 2 1/2 and it was way past time to do it, but she loved it in a ponytail so I couldn't bear to do it. The girls LOVE going to Alan's barber shop in Hartselle to the sweet girls who work there. (Yes, I have taken them to my place, other places and they still prefer the western style barber shop - Ha!)

We did back to school trims and Mallary was unsure, but after watching Gracie and Daddy get theirs done she was all ready for hers. She told them her name was Dora too! It cracked me up. She sat in the chair and smiled and yelled "Me Princess"

Splash Pad!

My girls are not fans of the Delano Splash Pad but we have found one they absolutely LOVE! We can't get enough of it - The new one in Hartselle! Luckily Daddy works over there so we can find excuses to drive over there : )

July Catch Up

I'm just going to finish July with one big post! We've been so busy and on the go and I thought about skipping it and just starting back when we get back from Ohio, but we've done lots of fun stuff that they were so excited about that I will share:

Gracie has done Princess Ballerina Camp with the lovely Miss Tara : )

She also loved Decatur High's Cheer Camp! She came home teaching me all kinds of cheers for us to do and loved her dances to Justin Beiber's Baby and Ice Cream and Cake. She won a DHS shirt for winning games and finished up the camp with poms and cookies!

We've had a play date at the splash pad with Abby and Hudson

And a Lake Guntersville trip for fishing and hiking with Daddy

Mallary: "oo catch a goldfeesh, da dee?"

We finished up swim lessons

And we're still working on potty training (under her winter coat is the potty seat she is wearing around her waist dancing around...the toilet paper is all off the roll and on the floor, but at least she said she needed to go potty, right?!?!
And last but definitely not least:

We will be welcoming a new niece due December 7th! We're so excited for another girl!

Ok that pretty much wraps us the July highlights...we'll be back in August with a wrap up of our trip to Grammy and JJs, 1st days of school and Mallary's 1st day of balway (ballet)...she's counting down the days and asks everyday if she goes to balway.
