Uh Oh!

On Memorial Day, we were hot and decided we needed to cool off so we headed over to Point Mallard. Well the girls were playing and having fun and Mallary decided she wanted to go down the tunnel slides in the kiddie park. Well she came flying out and when I picked her up her eye was covered in blood. I quickly dried her off and tried to see where it was coming from-her eyelid. I took her over to the First Aid where the EMT looked at it and said - it's pretty deep - Yall probably need to head over to the ER and see if they can glue it up. Ugh - but glue it up - no big deal! By this point she is fine, not crying, and probably ready to play some more...but we packed up and headed home. I took her to the ER and the Dr. looks at it and says it needs a stitch or two....WHAHHHHH. I really wasn't expecting it. I'll spare you the details, but use your imagination on what it was like to stitch a 2 year olds eyelid. 3 stitches later and a hug from mommy- she was good as new! The stitches were taken out last Friday and you can't even tell they were there!

Necklaces

Mallary LOVES necklaces. She yells "my neckwiss" when she is getting ready for school and if she finds one laying around, you can bet she'll be wearing it too! On Sunday she looked so sweet in a little white dress, but it was a little plain, and I happened to think of her pretty heart locket Meme got her when she was born. I was a little afraid to let her wear it b/c she is not the most gentle with her jewelry, but thought what the heck. Well she loved it. She thought she was the most special little girl so I am glad she wore it.

Last Day of School

Last week wrapped another great school year. To say the school year flew by is a complete understatement. Mallary's class had a luau on Wednesday to celebrate and Gracie had a little party on Friday. They both loved their teachers so much. Mallary will be going back for the summer program 2 mornings a week but Gracie will be taking a break and doing all kinds of fun camps/programs around town!

Game Night

Gracie,
We have been so proud of you all season playing ball. You always practice hard, play good and try your best. You are the youngest player in the league and on your team but you don't even notice. You have been working really hard to get a good hit (you had one little hit, but got out at 1st base in an early game) BUT tonight all your hard work paid off! You got your 1st Big Hit and made it to 1st. The game kept going and you made it to all the bases!!!! Mommy and Daddy were so very proud of you and so were your coaches because you earned the game ball tonight!!!!! Way to go Gracie Girl!!!!
