CWS Fall Festival

Wednesday morning Gracie had fall festival at school. What a wonderfully fun morning with her school friends. Gracie won several prizes and had a popcorn "sundae" for a special snack. She is also still talking about Mrs. Kathy and all her silly costumes and being so funny!

We had to find Abby and visit with her!!

Disney on Ice

On Sunday we rounded out a fun filled weekend with an afternoon of Disney on Ice. It was so much fun watching some of our favorite characters skate around. Even Mallary enjoyed it and was so good the whole time! The pics aren't great but not much you can do sitting in a dark arena and holding a baby!

The Little Mermaid set was my favorite so I am sharing that pic!

The Pumpkin Patch

Oh what fun we had today at the Pumpkin Patch. We have never been to this one as we usually go to the one in Hayden, but since we had lots planned this weekend and lots going on the next couple of weekends we thought it would be easier to stay closer to home. Well we are so glad that we went here - great for our kids!! We had so much fun.

Weekend Part I

This weekend is starting off to be so much fun!!! Yesterday afternoon we hit the Decatur High Homecoming Parade in downtown Decatur with some friends. Gracie and Abby had a blast grabbing for candy and Abby was sweet to help keep "baby" company. Last night I had a Jr. League fundraiser and I won 2 fun fun items at our silent auction.

Still More!

Last Friday we went to the Toledo Zoo. I visited it as a child and I didn't remember what a fabulous zoo this is. Oh Wow, did we have a fun day!!!! We saw all kinds of animals that were all out and active and very up close! They have exhibits with windows that you can stand up against. We were at the ape exhibit and standing at it and they were right up to it. Well one decided he wanted to play and banged on the glass and stuck his growly face right up to glass. I wish I had a camera on Gracie - she threw her hands up in the air and went "ahhhhhhhhh" and ran to my mom as fast as she could. I have to say my heart skipped a little beat as well, but ended in laughter at thinking about Gracie's reaction. She has told everyone "the monkey scare me".

Train Ride

(we had her right up to the hippos which are about 2 feet from her face
not - sure what she thinks about them!)

I took lots of animals, but these were just some of the cute ones of the girls.

According to a parent's magazine article it is rated 1 of the Top 10 children's zoos and I would agree from the ones we have visited. We have also been to the Ft. Wayne zoo on this list. My Grandma's town just happens to fall directly in the middle of these 2 cities. How lucky is that?!? I hope we can visit more on this list!

More Ohio

My cousin Kevin got married and the girls went to the wedding reception. Gracie enjoyed the "princess" and the big Birthday cake. We told her she was at the princess ball and she was loved it. Mallary on the other hand - slept through alot of it (with the band playing!) I had fun visiting with family that I haven't seen in a couple of years!

My cousin Jacquelyn and Grandma

Gracie andPrincess Patti
(I wish the pictures did the moment justice
Gracie really did think a princess had her and was thrilled)

Kevin smashed the cake in her face...alot of it.
I've never actually seen someone do that.

Gracie with her cake.
She thought my piece looked better than hers
so she ate most of both of them!

Ohio!

We are back from such a fun week visiting all our family in Ohio. The girls, mom and me spent a little over a week with my grandparents doing all kinds of fun things.

Picnic at the park with Grammy

Playing at the park
"Driving the Tractor"

Visiting the Dam and throwing rocks

Riding her bike JJ (her Great Grandpa) got for her

Checking out the scarecrow

Playing at another park
This is the school park that mom and I both played at when we were little
so it's neat that Gracie gets to play there too!

Yet another treat that JJ got the girls - a wagon!

Me with my Grandpa . He will be 88 in 2 weeks!
I only hope I do as wonderful as he does at 88!!!

Donuts for breakfast - another treat we don't usually have!

She wants one sooo bad!

More posts coming about our week!
