Our sweet friends, The Malones, drove up from Birmingham to spend Good Friday with us! It had been almost a year since Anne Rae and I had the kids together (luckily we had a couple of adult visits though) and I never have met sweet Charlotte, who was a couple weeks shy of her 1st Birthday. As usual, the big boys and girls hit it off and played the whole time like they were BFF's! Charlotte, bless her heart, hung in there pretty good and tolerated Gracie picking her up and carrying her around! Ha! After play time and lunch, we let the kids have a Egg Hunt. They had fun and LOTS of candy in their eggs. Can't wait to see our friends again soon!

Gracie's Egg Hunt
We have loved everything about kindergarten. They always have unique little things for holidays and Easter was no different. This year, Gracie had an egg hunt in.the.dark! All the kindergartners brought their flashlights and off they went hunting in rooms for the eggs. They could each find 12 and then they could help a friend who had not found 12 yet. After the egg hunt, the teachers had a surprise for them. They had learned a song called the gospel fuzzies and received a glove with colored pom poms and each color represented something different like sin, heaven, etc. to go along with their song. They performed for all the parents and looked so cute.

Mallary's Egg Hunt
Mallary had her Easter Party and Egg Hunt at a close house to her school. They dressed up with bunny ears and pink noses and had their bunny baskets that they made during school.

Eggstraordianry Eggs!
Gracie's Class had to create a "disguised" egg for school this week. We named off several choices until we said Peacock. It turned out so cute - we loved it!

Palm Sunday
This year for Palm Sunday our church changed things up a bit and I'm so glad they did! All the kids came in waving their palm branches (we usually do this) but then they all got to sing together up front, they had confirmations for the older kids. After the service we had a yummy potluck lunch in the fellowship hall complete with a visit from the Easter Bunny and then a fun Easter Egg hunt.

Softball Starts!
We love this time of year!! This is Gracie's 3rd year of softball and she is once again a Blaster - only with a new head coach - Alan!!! They were short some coaches so he graciously volunteered to step up. We have a great team and are looking forward to a fun season. Here are a couple of shots from our 1st practice.
