Circus

Meme was so sweet and treated Andrew, Gracie, Mallary, Elaine and I to the circus! We had so much fun. It had been years since I had been and the girls have never been. I kept it a secret that we were going until we were on our way. Gracie really enjoyed it and said the elephants, jugglers and the tight rope were her favorites. Mallary got a little antsy through it, but I think she enjoyed it. When I ask her what she liked the most, she says COTTON CANDY! ha ha!

Haircut

On Wednesday, we had ANOTHER snow day. Even worse, they missed the forecast and we had NO SNOW. The girls and I headed over to Hartselle to help break up our day. We had lunch with Alan and then decided Mallary needed a major haircut. It's been a little uneven and so fine so I decided to cut it off. It turned out so cute!!! We all love the new do...except maybe Daddy, he's told me too many times you look too grown up and not a little baby girl anymore!

Fun with Friends

We celebrated our friend's 3rd birthdays a few weeks ago at the Little Gym in Huntsville and the girls had a blast. This was a new place for us to go and we had so much fun, bouncing around, flipping on the bars and walking the beams. And rolling on the "donut ride"!

Winter Storm 2011

Well if a white Christmas wasn't enough...The snow was back in 2011 for more play time. And boy did we get the snow. It started snowing around 7:00 on Sunday night and by 11, when Alan and I snuck out to play, we had 5-6 inches. When we woke up Monday morning there were 8-9 inches of glorious snow for playing!! Of course that shuts down the town and we all had a snow day!! We bundled up the girls and went out to play. We stayed out about 30 minutes until Mallary announced "i fwozen". The girls had a blast and so did we. However, it is now Wednesday, and cabin fever is setting in since we are on Day 3 of no school/no leaving, but whatever - may be 20 more years before we see this much again!!

Happy New Year!

A little late, but what the heck! Alan and I celebrated NYE at a party here in Decatur. Our 1st plans in years and we enjoyed our party! New Year's Day was spent eating brunch and watching the impressive Alabama/Michigan State Bowl Game. We hope 2011 is off to a great start for you!

Cathedral Caverns

Alan was off the week b/t Christmas and New Years. We decided to head out one day to ease the Cabin Fever and went to Cathedral Caverns. It was really neat to walk through the cave. The girls enjoyed it too. It was guided on the way in and then you could walk out, take pics, explore on the way out. The pics aren't great, b/c you are in a dimly lit dark cave, but still got some cool ones.
