Christmas at MeMe and Chiefs

Alan said the roads were getting bad so we quickly showered and packed up for Birmingham. Once we got past Cullman our White Christmas disappeared, but hearing that Santa had also come to their house made it all better!

Santa definitely stopped here!

I did actually get into a few Christmas pics!

We've gotten so bad about pics with us.

After presents we had a yummy lunch of beef tenderloin (my fav) and played bingo. We started playing for $5-$10 gifts, gift cards, & miscellaneous items Christmas afternoon a couple of years ago instead of the siblings switching gifts. It's one of my favorite things to do. The gifts are fun (and funny) and this year we got to watch it snow while we played!

White Christmas

When I woke up Christmas morning I looked out the window and was SHOCKED to see snow. Definitely more than a dusting, everything was WHITE and really coming down. I opened the blinds and laid in bed watching it snow. I woke Alan up and said you have to look out the window. It was beautiful and peaceful. We played for a little bit after presents, but the roads were starting to get bad and we had to take off for Birmingham.

Christmas Eve Night

We all went to Christmas Eve Service at Church and then came home and had a nice dinner. Then it was time to get ready for Santa (which is no longer a quick and easy task). We had to sprinkle reindeer food, set out cookies, find some carrots and make chocolate milk.

And there was an even bigger surprise for us the next morning!!

Ornament Party 2010

Every year, my mom, sister and I have an Ornament Swap for some of our oldest friends in Birmingham. It's always so much fun and it's fun to see new babies that come along or in some cases children that are old enough to start playing along and bringing their own ornaments!!
